No scientific evidence that ibuprofen worsens COVID-19 symptoms

On March 20, 2020, the Government of Canada put out an Information Update to the general public and healthcare professionals stating that there is no scientific evidence that establishes a link between ibuprofen, or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and the worsening of COVID-19 symptoms. The government stated that any Canadians who are currently using NSAIDS to treat chronic diseases should not stop their treatment; instead, they should speak to a healthcare professional regarding any questions. However, they also confirmed that they are monitoring the situation closely and are reviewing new information and reports as they become available.
