There have been 121 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday in Ontario, the lowest daily case count since June 26. Of the 121 new cases: 27 were in Toronto, 23 were in Peel, 20 were in York region, and 21 were in Windsor-Essex. This comes despite a high number of 21,425 tests being completed daily. Following the decline in cases, there continues to be a decline in hospitalizations with 150 COVID-19 patients in Ontario hospitals of which 39 are in intensive care and 26 are on a ventilator. Humber River Hospital in Toronto now has no COVID-19 patients in its ICU for the first time since March 14; nevertheless, its director of corporate communications urges the public to stay vigilant.
