Effective immediately and province-wide, Ontario now allows for the establishment of social circles of up to 10 people with whom physical distancing is no longer necessary. To navigate this, the province has suggested who to consider as part of this number such as those that the household may already be in contact with, such as a babysitter, and their households. Next, essential workers can be included in the circle as long as everyone involved is aware of the risks and consents. The news comes as Ontario reports 182 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, the lowest since March 28, with a record number of tests done at 28,335. More businesses and services will be permitted to reopen in most areas of the province outside of the Greater Toronto Area as part of the province’s Stage 2 of reopening.
