After spending most of May following public health directives and emerging trends, the National Basketball Association (NBA) has approved a plan to restart the season on July 31. The plan would see 22 of the league’s 30 teams competing at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. This would enable the NBA to finish its 88 “seeding games” without fans and up to four playoff games before the season ends. Currently, the league’s approved return-to-play plan is awaiting to be reviewed by the players’ union. The NBA had paused it’s season on March 11, being the first major sports league to do so.
