As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, many people in British Columbia are working differently than they were before. Some are working from home full-time or splitting their time between the office and home. B.C. Premier John Horgan said that a four-day workweek may be possible in the years to come for the province of B.C., further elaborating that “one of the advantages and opportunities we have coming out of a pandemic is nothing should be off the table.” Moreover, a new study from the Fraser Institute looked at if labour productivity growth averages 2% per year between 2018-2030, it may be possible that Canadians could work a four-day work week and enjoy a higher standard of living.
