Coronavirus: Ontario reports 304 new cases, 23 deaths as total cases hit 22,957

Monday morning brought 304 new cases of COVID 19, bringing the provincial total to 22,957 of which 76.8% are considered resolved (17,638 cases). The province has conducted 553,981 tests with 972 hospitalized patients of which 174 in intensive care and 133 on a ventilator. With regards to age of infected patients: 19 and under represent 2.8% of cases; 20 to 39, 24.2%; 40 to 59, 30.6%; 60 to 79, 21.1%; and 80 and over, 21.2%. Unfortunately, the Ministry of Long-Term Care continues to deal with 189 outbreaks in long-term care homes in the province with 1,389 deaths reported among residents. Out of the aforementioned 22,957 reported cases, the Ministry of Long-Term Care confirmed 526 cases among long-term care residents and 1,606 cases among staff.
