McGill, UBC among universities to offer majority of fall semester online

Several Canadian universities have recently unveiled plans for a predominantly online Fall semester. The institutions include McGill University, University of Montreal, the University of British Columbia and the University of Victoria. The universities hope that some smaller classes and labs may be offered in-person with social distancing measures in place, but this will depend on local public health recommendations. However, this does not necessarily mean a decrease in tuition, and universities such as McGill have announced tuition will remain the same cost although attempts will be made to increase bursaries and decrease fees for on-campus services that cannot be used by students.
