Premier Doug Ford announced on Saturday that over 350,000 front-line workers would be eligible for a pandemic pay raise of $4 per hour for the next 16 weeks. Staff who work more than 100 hours per month would receive an additional $250 per month for the next four months. Front-line workers who are eligible include those working in: long-term-care and retirement homes, emergency shelters, personal support, supportive housing, social services congregate care settings, corrections institutions and youth justice facilities, home and community care providers, and some staff in hospitals.
